Book Recommendation: The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson

The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson

Today’s book recommendation is a stray away from the normal sci-fi & fantasy world of fiction books and more along the lines of inspirational fiction. The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson is about someone named Ordinary, a Nobody who leaves the Land of Familiar to pursue his Big Dream given to him by the Dream Giver. Once convinced to escape his Comfort Zone he begins a journey of overcoming Border Bullies, navigating the Wasteland, and battling fierce Giants on his way to his Big Dream. Along the way each obstacle is a learning lesson that helps him grow into who the Dream Giver needs him to be for his Big Dream.

I have read this short inspirational tale twice already as a fun way to encourage me to follow my Big Dream. The places along the way will resonate with you if you are also pursuing a Big Dream. In fact, I have encountered some of these places in my own life like the Land of Border Bullies, the Wastelands, and currently the Land of the Giants! This book is like a fictional roadmap on how to navigate these areas in your life when you decide to leave your comfort zone and go after your own Big Dream.

I hope this book inspires you the way it did me in pursuing your own Big Dream. I’m cheering you on when you do!
