Fridays book recommendation: Assistant to the Villain

Today’s Friday Book Recommendation is “Assistant to the Villain” by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. 🦹🏻‍♂️ This was a fun read especially from the perspective of the bad guy and I enjoyed how the ending switches things around for our main character Evie.

This fantasy novel is about a woman named Evie who is down on her luck trying to find a job to provide for her family. She lives a pretty uneventful life until one day after still not finding a job she runs into the villain. This morally gray character decides to hire Evie as his personal assistant. Without any other

options, Evie decides to take the job. 👩🏻‍💼That isn’t to say it’s not without its fair share of trouble though, like avoiding being caught working for the villain along with his antics that put her in several close calls, but their interaction made me laugh several times. And the ending was a 🤯 for me!

This was a light hearted read for me and I enjoyed it.
