Bio:

Ivette N Diaz is a Latina author of dystopian sci-fi/fantasy romance novels that offer a spark of hope in a dystopian world. She has published Rise of Power, Choices of Power, and Struggles of Power all part of the I Am Chronicles series. Her short story, Taino: An Untold Story is featured in the Flame Tree Publishing Anthology Beyond & Within: Latin American Shared Stories edited by V. Castro.

While not writing, she enjoys reading by an open window while on her circular swivel couch, lounging in the pool to get away from the Florida heat, and dancing to the congas of her Latin culture while in the middle of her living room. She secretly loves Kung-Fu movies and takes daily online kickboxing classes in hopes of one day becoming a true ninja. Her obsession with working out helps to balance her enthusiasm for food, especially gourmet meals prepared by her husband, who is a talented self-taught cook.

You can also find Ivette on her many adventures with her husband and kids, mostly park hopping in Central Florida, while laughing at their antics.

Ivette has a love/hate relationship with working out, but she does daily to help with her physical and mental health. Her favorite exercise is kickboxing, and reserves Fridays for Heavy Bag Fridays, where she goes to her local gym to punch and kick a heavy bag to release the stress of the week. She includes fight scenes in her stories so she can add a kickboxing element in each one.
Ivette graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Civil Engineering degree. She worked as a roadway and drainage engineer for several years before transitioning to a different line of Engineering where she is currently. Her love of science can be seen in her stories that include a science fiction element to them.
Ivette loves theme parks, which is perfect when living in Central Florida. She has been a Disney passholder for almost fifteen years. If you visit a theme park, you might run into her and her family walking around, riding rides, and enjoying food, all while dressed up in theme to whichever park she is attending.
Ivette loves holidays and seasons. If she could decorate and dress up for each one she would. Currently her husband curbs her obsession with all things themed, but she still gets to enjoy decorating for major seasons and holidays, and you may catch her in a themed shirt or earrings while out and about.
